get acquainted with your archetypes - the saboteur

hi - it’s been exactly ten days since i’ve written and posted on the blog.⁣

my saboteur has been paying me a lot of visits in these past ten days. anytime we push ourselves out of our comfort zone - the saboteur is guaranteed to show up. ⁣

i love love love working with and understanding archetypes because life has become a game (after awakening) and the archetypes that show up in our lives are real characters that we step into - our actions define us, quite literally, and it is our responsibility to decode them. ⁣

there are answers in the things that you do, the places you go and the ways in which you show up. if you have the courage, to be honest, you can move mountains. the truth, however, is also very potent. it can take you out if you aren’t ready and prepared to fully accept it - this is why denial isn’t always a “bad” thing. ⁣

good and bad are completely relative. what may be good for you today, may not be good for you tomorrow. (side note but also very relevant - this is why judging is unnecessary and even toxic … we never know why others do what they do or sometimes, even, why we cope with things the way that we do). ⁣

you have to trust yourself in this process of traversing the unknown. the other day i was explaining something and my friend’s response was “but that would be blind faith (appalled)” and my response was “yes, exactly… we need more faith and you can’t see faith so it’s most definitely blind.”⁣

we try so hard to make sense of things - to make calculated moves in life .. but a calculated life can only produce so much. this realization helped me come to the conclusion that my saboteur isn’t against me - and, neither is yours. ⁣

i write about this a lot but to catch you up, in case you don’t already know - according to the work of Caroline Myss - all humans have 12 main archetypes that they play out during their lifetime. all your archetypes are here to teach you lessons that are specifically meant for you. 8 are unique to you, the other four we share as humans - and one of them is the infamous saboteur. ⁣

the reason most people don’t actually follow through with their goals and desires is because they give in to their inner saboteur. again, this isn’t a bad thing - knowing what we don’t want in our life can be as beneficial (if not more) than knowing what we do want in our lives. ⁣

but it is easy to get trapped by the things that are meant to teach you about yourself - you can’t give in to life - you have to become a student of it. this is why asking questions and self-reflecting will change your life. ⁣

but we don’t really want to listen to our archetypes - we neglect them so much that we end up developing shadow contracts with them aka “as long as you stay in the dark, i will give you what you want.” why do we do this? because our archetypes lead us back to our inner truth and the truth about the truth is that sometimes it just sucks.

especially when you haven’t learned how to have “blind faith” - like my friend, the concept of blind faith can be shocking and even offensive. we live in a world where we are so obsessed with having the answers … maybe the answers we keep looking for have been with us the whole time - maybe the answer is that you can’t find what you’re looking for because you have it in your hand and you refuse to look there - now that’s a paradigm shift. ⁣
