the importance of planning, goal-setting and intending to buy back your time

the best thing about living life on your own terms is that you don’t have to force anything. you get to choose how and when and why you do the things that you do. and even if you are working a job that you don’t absolutely love, you still get to control your intention. your intention is what creates. ⁣

for so long i was trapped in the spiritual bullshit rhetoric that if you are alive you should only do what you absolutely love to do. we live in a physical world which is set up in a certain way. that way being, you need to work to eat. so no, you can’t just wishful think your way out of your current life. ⁣

you can, however, change the way you look at your current life which by default will change your life completely. ⁣

firstly, you have to know where you are and you can not be passive about where you are going.

the end goal is time. you want to have your time so that you can choose how you spend your time. unlike money, time is not something that comes back around. ⁣

the biggest lie in our society is that money is the most important thing one can have… the truth is that money makes more money and so there is an abundance of it. your time, however, is not something you can make more of. ⁣

faith is important, so so so important. i am huge on faith and on believing that what is for me will never miss me. but sometimes this way of thinking can become its own type of trap. you know those people who believe their entire lives are completely in God's hands? we all know a couple of these people and how their mindset has become their excuse to stay small and stagnant. ⁣

we are co-creators. ⁣

we have to actively unwrap the gift of life, otherwise, we will never quite know it. imagine having a huge gift and just keeping it there because it looks pretty… believe it or not, this is how most people live their lives. ⁣

your potential lies in that nicely wrapped gift box, it is pretty on the outside which makes it tempting to just wonder what’s on the inside. ⁣

however, to actually receive the gift it takes some serious unwrapping. which takes effort, time and attention. ⁣

life is not going to unwrap itself for you, you need to be the one doing the unwrapping. and you need to be willing to do whatever it takes to get where you want to go. ⁣

which means before anything else, you need to know where you are going! ⁣

only 3% of the population write down their goals. 3%!?⁣

you can’t get where you are going if you don’t know where you are going. ⁣

sometimes, as spiritual enthusiasts, it is easy to tip the scale and get lost in the idea of creating our own reality and manifesting what we desire from the inside. but if we tip the scale to the other side lies all the physical stuff, like planning and goal-setting. which are equally as important as visualizing and praying. ⁣

as we approach this new year of 2020, i want you to ask yourself⁣

where am i going? ⁣

what do i want to accomplish? ⁣

where do i want to be 1 year from now? ⁣

what habits will i implement into my life to get there?⁣

because once you know exactly what it is that you need to get from point A to point I HAVE ALL MY TIME, it becomes a lot easier to break these steps into daily habits and routines. ⁣

something changes within you when you have a solid plan. you aren’t aimlessly roaming through life. you have a clear understanding of why you’re doing what you are doing, which makes the most mundane things more enjoyable. ⁣

this is the reason why i wrote yesterday, that two people can have the exact same job and one can wake up excited and the other miserable. it is because the excited one knows that their job is only a stepping stone towards living their dream life. ⁣
