your problems don't just go away but the answers are closer than you think

last night I had a dream that i was fighting with zombies and it taught me something invaluable at the end of it all. when i exhausted myself beyond belief (because of the fighting) and had nowhere left to go, i picked up the dish soap that was there the whole time and aimed for their eyes and finally this defeated them.
here are the few invaluable lessons we can take from this dream.
1. we "LIKE" our problems because we like having something to fight for.
we spend a lot of time circling around the answers to our problems because most of us are attached to our problems. we like them and we hate them at the same time. we like having something that allows us to complain, feel sorry for ourselves, blame others etc, the ego lives for anything that makes it so that it doesn’t have to take accountability.
2. problems don’t just go away.
we live in a world where we sweep things under the rug hoping that it doesn’t come back up again. student loans anyone? our problems don’t disappear, we just become used to evading responsibility. responsibility is our ability to act and without responsibility, we have no power. the majority of the world copes with problem-solving in a hot potato type of way, you catch a problem and try to throw it to the nearest person. this makes it so that there are always problems and no one solving them. i mean you just have to take one glimpse at the government to see this playing out.
3. when you decide you’re tired of fighting, you find the answer.
there is a power in surrender that no one fully understands. religions have emphasized the mystical powers of surrender aeons ago. something happens when you decide that you are done playing games. it is like God shows up and shows you the way. there is no more ego at this point, only a willingness to see the truth. towards the end of my dream, i was exhausted, i didn’t want to fight anymore. as soon as i loosened my grip, the solution showed up for me instantaneously. and ironically enough it was something that was right before my eyes to begin with.
i once heard that in order to solve a problem, you can’t be on the same frequency as the problem. when we let go of control, we allow a higher power to guide us. the thing about ego is that it doesn’t want to release control because that is where it draws its own sense of importance. ego says “i am here to protect you” while the soul says “i am one with all things so i don’t need protection.” the soul knows its connection to something greater than itself, ego, however, says it is the greatest. it refuses to accept that it has needs. and when we are run by our egos, we are far removed from our needs.
our job is to free ourselves from this ego. do you ever feel like you can’t do something because of how someone else will perceive you? or how you are justified in your anger because so and so is an idiot? this is all ego. it convinces itself that it is separate from everyone else meaning it is separate from the creator. when we no longer feel the need to protect ourselves, we merge with life's’ answers.
free will means God won’t show you the way unless you want to be shown the way. when we are in a state of ego (me fighting with the zombies in my dream) we can’t see the answers to our problems. as soon as i let go and released my problem to a higher power, i received the answer. this is the beauty of life. we are always taken care of.
